Surface holds the memory of the gesture in the work of Tina Marie Cph.
Based in Copenhagen, she develops a practice grounded in touch — where each piece is shaped, glazed, and fired by hand, allowing the process to remain visible. Nothing is fully concealed; the object retains a quiet record of its making.
Working in stoneware, she builds a language through nuance. Glazes remain soft, layered, and responsive to light, while forms stay restrained — almost familiar, yet precisely balanced.
Her pieces move between function and contemplation. They do not seek attention, but reveal themselves gradually — through proximity, through use, through time.
In this approach, ceramics become less about form and more about presence — a subtle invitation to slow down and engage with the material.
