Material and gesture remain closely intertwined in the work of Tine Otto.
Working primarily with natural fibers, she develops textile pieces that balance structure and softness, precision and irregularity. Her forms often appear understated at first glance, revealing their complexity through texture, rhythm, and proximity.
Her practice is rooted in a tactile understanding of material. Threads, surfaces, and woven elements are approached not only as construction, but as carriers of atmosphere and sensation.
Rather than imposing rigid compositions, she allows forms to emerge gradually through repetition and handwork. This process gives each piece a quiet physical presence, shaped as much by touch as by visual form.
Her work unfolds between textile, object, and sculpture — creating subtle spatial interventions where material becomes a language of restraint and intimacy.
