Prystavka

Prystavka

Paris

Texture, in the work of Tanya Prystavka, becomes a way of sensing space.

Working at the intersection of object, installation, and perception, she explores how material can shape emotional and physical experience. Her pieces are not conceived as isolated forms, but as elements that activate their surroundings — inviting the body into relation.

Trained in fine arts and contemporary ceramics, her practice develops through a close attention to surface, rhythm, and repetition. Clay becomes a medium through which tension, density, and tactility unfold.

Her installations extend this language into space, creating environments where texture is not only seen, but felt. Works such as Stuck in Textures, presented at Nikola-Lenivets Art Park, reflect this approach — positioning material as both structure and sensation.

Now based in France, her work continues to evolve through residencies and exhibitions across Europe, maintaining a focus on the relationship between matter, perception, and presence.
