A shift in landscape marked the beginning of Laura Giudice’s practice.
After several years working in cinema in Paris, she left to spend time in Sicily — her father’s native land. It was there, in direct contact with the territory, that the desire to work with earth emerged.
Back in Paris, she trained in ceramics and quickly developed her own studio practice. Working between decorative objects and commissioned pieces, she builds forms that remain closely tied to memory and place.
Her work carries the imprint of the Mediterranean — of the Egadi and Aeolian islands, of mineral landscapes, light, and erosion. Surfaces, tones, and volumes evoke these environments without reproducing them directly.
Each piece functions as a fragment — a way of holding onto a landscape through material.
