Absence takes form in the work of Jordi Iranzo.
Working with discarded nets — sourced from sports and construction — he develops a practice where structure becomes permeable. Materials that once held tension are reconfigured into forms that hover between presence and disappearance.
His pieces exist at the threshold of function. They suggest use — to sit, to lean, to inhabit — yet remain deliberately open. What is offered is not a fixed object, but a condition: something to engage with, physically and perceptually.
Light, movement, and void play an active role. Forms stretch, suspend, and shift with the body and the gaze, creating a relationship that is never fully stable.
Through projects such as Permanent Souls, his work reflects on what endures beyond material existence — how memory persists, even when form dissolves.
Alongside his artistic practice, he is co-founder and creative director of Clap Studio, an internationally recognized studio working across interiors, objects, and installations.
