11 (eleven) approaches space with the freedom and curiosity of a child — reducing objects to clear forms while allowing room for play and imagination.
Founded by architects Susanna Smailova and Ilya Moiseev, the collaborative practice creates objects in which simple materials meet forms and references drawn from nature. Their architectural background is reflected in an attention to proportion, construction and detail, yet their work deliberately moves away from unnecessary complexity.
Each object is conceived through a process of reduction. Lines become clearer, gestures more precise, and individual elements are considered for what they contribute to the whole. Within this restraint, however, there is an underlying sense of lightness and play.
Through this combination of clarity and imagination, 11 proposes a different way of experiencing objects and the spaces around them — intuitive, open and gently unexpected.
