Wool, in the work of Ana Grajales, becomes a point of connection — between territories, between bodies, between inner and outer landscapes.
Born in Uruguay and now based in Mallorca, she develops a practice rooted in material and place. Her work emerges through an intuitive process of gathering, assembling, and transforming — where fragments of lived experience are woven into form.
Using both Uruguayan merino and rustic Mallorcan wool, she brings together distinct geographies into a single tactile language. The material carries memory: of origin, of movement, of adaptation.
Her pieces unfold as soft structures, balancing fragility and grounding. They evoke a quiet awareness of the body — its presence, its limits, its relationship to the surrounding environment.
Through this approach, her work opens a space of reflection, where material becomes a medium to explore vulnerability, continuity, and belonging.
